Topic Research: The Runaway Princesses

     I read the story of a princess, Cannetella. In the story, the king wished for her daughter to marry and she did not want to, but the king wanted an heir to the throne. She then wished for a man of a gold head and gold teeth. She got her wish and lived a miserable life with her king husband. The king's cooper help her sneak back to the castle. Her husband heard of the news and went to find her at her old castle with her family. He was then killed after they found out he was there. I would like to keep her background story the same and continue on with this fairy tale, but I do want to change the time era of the story to more modern times where there are hospitals and the FBI. Since the king wants an heir to the throne, I want to tell the story of Cantella falling in love with the king's cooper who helped her escape. Cantella will find out that she cannot get pregnant, so she's steals a baby boy from the hospital in order for there to be an heir. The story will be tale of her journey and running from the FBI.

    I read the story of The Green Knight. The story was of a princess, Cinderella, whose mother had died. She met a widow who had a daughter and they became friends, even though the mother and daughter were wicked. Cinderella begged her father to marry the widow so they wouldn't have to go. Cinderella gained a step mother and step sister, but they were mean to her. Her father sent her to an island that they had so she could be happy. She fell in love with the Green Knight, but the step mother poisoned him. Cinderella learned that she could cure him and she did. I would like to keep her background story the same and continue on with this fairy tale, but I do want to change the time era like the story above. I want to tell the tale about how Cinderella wants revenge on her step mother and step sister for making her life miserable and trying to poison her husband. The story will be the journey of how she murdered her step mother and step sister and how she is hiding out with her husband.

    I read the story The Shoes That Were Danced to Pieces. In this story there are twelve princesses who share a room and their door is locked each night, but in the morning their shoes are danced to pieces. The king wanted to know how this was possible so he offered to any prince to find out what was happening, he would be able to choose a princess of his choice to marry and become the new king when he died. The catch was that they had three days to figure it out or they would be killed. One soldier got advice and an invisible cloak from an old woman in order for him to find out where the twelve princesses go each night. The soldier tricked the princesses into thinking he was asleep and he saw the mystery trapped door under one of the beds. When the princesses walked through the door he put on the invisible cloak and followed them. He took pieces of the trees for evidence, and then saw the twelve princes that were waiting on the princess. The soldier grabbed a goblet of wine for his final piece of evidence. After watching what all had happened, he waited until the third night to tell how they were dancing their shoes to pieces. The soldier picked the oldest daughter to be princess. I want to continue on with this fairy tale and change the era of the story like the ones above. This story will tell the tale of how the oldest princess poisons her soldier husband in order to continue her love with the prince she loves that she meets every night with her sisters to dance.
